Set Up a Profile that Gets you More Work

This guide will give you all the tips you need to help make your profile perform well, and get you as many enquiries as possible.
Make a short 60sec Showreel Video
Give an introduction about who you are, what skills you have, and how long you have been ‘in the trade’.

Show yourself at work, you might want to show yourself tiling, bricklaying or fitting a door. This is your chance to show potential clients and employers how good you are at your work.

Use an editor like CapCut Pro to put your video clips together. Below, we’ve listed what we think is a GREAT example of a Subbie Showreel video:
List Previous Employers
You have Worked For
If you’ve had experience working with Persimmons, Taylor Wimpey or Bovis homes then make sure you list it on your profile.

It doesn’t have to be a national home builder, you might have worked for a large construction firm, gardening company, or a well-known client. Make sure you list any experience you feel is noteworthy.
Upload a Selection of Work
Photographs (with you in them!)
If it’s just a picture of some tiles, or a floor it could have been taken by anyone. Make your photos genuine by including yourself (your own face) in the photograph with your work.
Keep Your Availability
Regularly Updated
It’s really important to keep your availability regularly updated on Subbies. If you list yourself as immediately available, but already have a job you are working on, clients and employers who phone you for an immediate start will not be impressed.

Also remember that some clients are put off by tradesman who are available next day, and like a tradesmen who is busier.
